Recreation Therapy
How It Works
Students have the opportunity to participate in recreation therapy daily and it is provided in lieu of physical education class. Recreation therapy encompasses a variety of activities including experiential education, life skills, sports and games, and outings. Classrooms have outings several days a week to utilize resources in the community, including parks, swimming pools, museums, libraries, and other locations that support fun, learning and physical activities.
